1st Snowfall of the Season

Well it finally came......!!! The boys were excited to go play in the snow 1st thing this morning!  Though Kohen wasn't very happy when Kaden decided to throw snow on him!  Jake on the other hand was having fun in the snow with the boys!  Kaden and Kohen kept picking up hands full of snow and dumping it on him. Jake (our dog) kept trying to run away!  It was pretty funny!  Hope everyone is enjoying the snow, if you have it!

7 Random Things......

Ok, so I guess I've been tagged and there are some waiting for my answers.

1. I'm a organizational freak!  Everything has to be in place.  Or if I'm working on something everything has to be in a nice tidy order before I start.  Everything has a place in my house, and when my husband decides to take something out and put it back somewhere else that really annoys me!

2. I'm a germ a phobic..... I can't touch things, certain things with my hands.  I always where gloves when I'm working outside.  I don't like to shake peoples hands because who knows where there hands have been and I most certainly don't touch my dog, or any dog for that matter.  I can't stand the way my hands feel after touching him or any dog/cat!

3. I love shoes!  Shoes are always the first thing I look at when I look at a person.  Funny thing, the first time I met my husband I looked at his shoes.  If he had good pair on then he was definitely worthy of my time...... heeee heeee!!!  Guess he had a good pair!  If I could afford it I would have a never ending shoe closet.

4. I love to watch soap operas!  Y&R, As the World Turns and Guiding Light.  I DVR them everyday to watch them when my son goes down for a nap.  I get at least 3 to 4 hours of quiet time.

5. I have naturally curly hair!  Who would of thought it, yes I do! :-)  I have been running a flat iron thru it most of my adult life.  But now I have it permanently straightened every 6 months.  

6. I love, love, love email.  I would rather email any day than talk on the phone.  Just type it and wait for an answer.  Got to much to do to sit around and talk on the phone!!!

7. Love to online shop!  Would rather buy it online than go down to the store!  Pure laziness!  And I admit, I can be a pretty lazy person!

So there are my 7 random things..... not very interesting, huh!??!?!?  So the only other person that I know of that has a blog that hasn't been tagged is Heather.

Kohen's 2yr Birthday

Ok, so Kohen turned 2 on November 10th.  We celebrated it this last weekend.  We kept it real small, just immediate family.  We used to invite extended family and friends to Kaden's b-day's and it really just gets to expensive!  Not to mention he really doesn't need all those toys!  So we decided only to do big bashes for the big b-days, like 1st, 5th, 10th and so on!  Anywho, it turned out pretty good.  Kohen likes Spongebob so that what we did.  

It was a pretty busy weekend for us, I had a jewelry show Friday night, which was in Sunnyside and was dark when I got there and left and of course I got lost and was a little nervous!  I locked my doors while I was driving.  Somehow I ended up in downtown Sunnyside at 9:30 at night!!! SCARY!!!  Anywho, finally made it home totally exhausted! Saturday was the birthday party and Sunday we had a Seahawks Party.  We try to have a few of those during football season so we can get together with out friends!  So like I said a pretty busy weekend.  Thank goodness the next week and a half will be pretty tame!  So I hope all of you have a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!  And for those going out on Black Friday, GOOD LUCK!! :-)

New Blogger!!!

Ok, so here it is!  Thought I would start up a blog.  So I guess I start off writing about my family.  My husband, Ryan and I were married in January 2006 and have 2 beautiful children!  I'm sure every mother says that, but it's true!! Kaden is 5 and Kohen is 2!  This picture is from Christmas 2007, guess I need to take more family pictures.  

So this year has been a good and bad.  So lets start with the bad.  Kohen was diagnosed with Craniosynostosis in November 2007.  Basically that means that his skull had fused together too soon.  So his left side was starting to flatten and his brain was pushing out the right side.  Which if not fixed could start to cause pressure on the brain and eventually brain damage.  So needless to say this was a very scary situation for us.  After a ton of Dr. appointments at Children's in Seattle he was finally scheduled for surgery in June 2008.  His doctors were so amazing! So this next part is a little graphic, but here goes.  What they needed to do was cut him from ear to ear, peel back his skin, remove his forehead and eye piece, reshape it and put it back into place.  Sounds horrible, huh!  Well, he went in on a Tuesday for surgery, spent 

1 1/2 days in ICU, transfered to a regular room and was released Friday by noon!  So basically he was there for 3 1/2 days.  They warned us that his eyes would probably swell shut.  Well that never happened, so that's why we were able to go home so early!!  He was such a trooper!  So the good is since then he has healed and all of his post-op's have been great!  His head is starting to reshape and by his 1 yr post-op his skull, where cut, should be filled in with bone fragments.  It's been a pretty busy year for us, but no more appointments till June 2009, YEAH!!!  Oh, we did manage to take a family vacation for a week to Lincoln City in August!  That was a blast!
